Puerto Rico + San Jose

Waltzing through rain forests,

tumbling through the clouds,

I feel like an adventurous explorer when you’re around;

Swimming on the beaches,

chilling in the streams,

We’re truly in our own rom-com it would seem;

Ziplining mountain to mountain,

spotting fishes on lovely beach walks,

and our funny banter about jack-in-the-box!

 

My heart was aflutter, thinking you’ll be coming home;

It felt nicer than I had imagined, to see you where I roam;

Next to me on my bed,

Where i’d lay all day,

and think of you in my head;

Next time let me cook for you, maybe biriyani?

While you calmly nap, my little bunny.

 

Trips with you are feeling shorter and shorter…

My time with you is never enough...

Can we make time stop still when we’re together?

I wish for those moments to last forever…

 

Goodbyes are now so terribly bittersweet,

But please don’t worry love, I’ll see you again in a heartbeat;

In a land closer to your home,

To walk the walks that you’ve been on...
